The annual conference of the Citizens' Network Benchmarking Initiative
took place in Brussels on 25 February 2002.
The conference aimed to:
1. Present the results of the common indicators
(general assessment of performance)
2. Highlight the activities and findings of the
thematic working groups (benchmarking in detail)
3. Provide an outlook on future activities of the
Citizens’ Network Benchmarking Initiative
Representatives from various different organisations and institutions
took part, such as:
Local and regional authorities
Regional representations in Brussels and EU liaison
offices
European Commission and other EU institutions
International organisations, user groups and
associations
Transport operators, manufacturers and service
providers
Experts, consultants and academics working in the
field of local mobility
